How to Fix iPhone 5 "SMS not delivered/Sending Text Messages on iOS 6.0/6.0.1

A number of iPhone 5 users have been reporting a serious problem with sending SMS's/ TEXT MESSAGES as well as activating iMessage & Facetime.The reason why iMessage/Facetime can't activate and is stuck at " WAITING FOR ACTIVATION" is because it tries to contacts the apple server by sending an sms to verify you phone number and the emails 'ID's. The issue is on iOS 6.0 /6.0.1. The fix is to update to iOS 6.1 beta 2/3. As apple seeds Beta versions to DEVELOPERS ONLY but On this tutorial I'll show you how to update your iPhone 5 to beta iOS without developers account, and keep in mind that you can always downgrade to official 6.0.1 as apple servers are still signing till the official 6.1 comes out..

I've searched the internet for about a month and tried a bunch of suggested solutions, some of the suggestions was changing the "MESSAGE CENTER NUMBER" other suggested to " RESET NETWORK SETTINGS" but all did not work for me, You ought to try these suggestions before trying mine. If you have tried them and did not succeed then this is your FIX 100%.


PLEASE NOTE:-
Although this process is totally safe and I've tried it more than once but i want to clear that I'm not responsible if anything happened to your device, I've tried this fix and it totally worked for me and other users as well...So let's get started with the fix.


Requirements :-( with links )

•  The latest iTunes  (Download) For windows
• iOS 6.0.1 for iPhone 5 (Download)
• iOS 6.1 beta 2 GSM (Download)
• iOS 6.1 beta 2 CDMA (Download)

1. Connect you iPhone to the laptop and start up iTunes
2. Go to your iPhone windows on iTunes and Back up your Device 
3. After you finish backing up HOLD (SHIFT) and click on Restore and select iOS 6.0.1
4. Wait for the device to fully restore.
5. When it shows up on iTunes set it as a new Device ( DO NOT RESTORE FROM BACK_UP)
6. Now again HOLD (SHIFT) and this time click ( Update/Check for update) and select 6.1
7. After it fully  restores to the 6.1 beta also set as new 
8. Congrats your done.....
9. Now you can restore from the first back up you did on (step 2) to retrieve all your previous apps & settings.

     TIP: The link above is for 6.1 Beta 2, You can update OTA ( OVER THE AIR ) to beta 3 with no problem, by going to (Settings app >>> General >>>>Software Update)
